Our Work

Dedicated to Development & Inclusion of Women and Young People

At Kunashe, we understand that every individual deserves the opportunity to become the best version of themselves. Our work is focused on empowering women and young people to attain their full potential so that they can contribute toward national development. We take a wellness-centered approach to achieving these goals, prioritizing the health and well-being of our clients and promoting gender equality and youth inclusion.

To do this we provide training workshops, conduct outreaches, and make use of social media, radio and theatre to effectively include diverse populations.

Kindness Counts Programme

This programme is designed to drive social behavioural change. We work to reprioritise kindness  in tertiary institutions and workplaces as a essential and practical way to ensure good mental health at a community leve. This is further supported by our  Awareness, Mental health support, Advocacy, and Integration Programme ( AMAI), which provides platforms to support the mental well-being of women who have suffered infant or child loss as well as infertility.

Blossom Programme

Our Work: Services

Blossom is our comprehensive Sexual Reproductive Health Programme that has a strong foundation in Menstrual Health and Hygiene (training, as well as pad making workshops), Sexual Reproductive Health Advocacy and Gender Equality. This programme is anchored by a Financial Literacy and Inclusion aspect. To date we have trained nearly 12 000 young people under this programme. Our goal is to eliminate period poverty and drive the inclusion of women and young people in social economic activity in a manner that is sustainable and easy to replicate.
